The London Borough of Sutton have announced their participation at London’s New Year’s Day Parade 2018.

Every year on January 1st, Borough’s from across the capital, enter a parade float or performance with the hope of winning thousands of pounds for their Mayor’s chosen charity. Sutton will hope to push on in 2018 to win top spot, after coming 4th at LNYDP 2017, narrowly missing 1st prize due to stiff competition from the London Borough of Westminster. The performances are arranged in conjunction with the annual parade theme, which this year is ‘Showtime – Roll Up, Roll Up, to the Greatest Show on Earth’.

This year Sutton’s entry, Sutton’s Greatest Show on Earth – ‘Don’t rain on our LNYDP Parade’, aims to celebrate the best bits from London’s New Year’s Day Parade. The charity of choice for Sutton in 2018 will be The Gary Mason Charity. The charity was formed, in honour, of Heavyweight Boxing Legend, Gary Mason and charity trustees, volunteers, Gary Mason Charity Drummers and Pointers Dance Studio will be working round the clock to put on a spectacular performance, with the aim of winning 1st place.
